Are you kidding me? - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Reviews

What, am I watching "Eragon" again? There is absolutely no excuse for this movie--absolutely non! This movie is so bad, and so long, that after spending 2 hour and 10 minutes trying as hard as I could to like the movie, I just lost it, and started laughing at how bad the movie was. Trust me, it is truly horrible. This movie has many, many, many faults. The first flaw this movie has is it's running time of 2 hours and 50 minutes, almost 3 hours of nothing...no, seriously, it really is almost 3 hours of nothing. about 2 hours of the movie is spent with dull, boring, and non-important dialog. Dialog is usually a good thing for the "Pirates of the Caribbean movies, because it's usually funny and clever--not here; for some reason or another the viewers are made to listen to hours of pointless and boring conversations that no one really cares about. Another problem with the dialog was the fact that when they did say something that seemed important or cool, was wasted and never explained at the end of the movie. The characters were completely ruined, especially Jack Sperrow, who is transformed into a schizophrenia, and over and over again talks to his imaginary counterpart, which almost drove me mad. The story (as you can see above) was completely horrible, and laughable, which is a shame because "Dead Man's Chest", while not perfect, seemed to be going in a pretty cool direction. The battle scenes were about as pointless as an eraser, most were somewhat random, coming out of no where, and even worse, poorly choreographed, which reminded me of the battle scene in "Eragon". You see, "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl" was fun, funny, witty, and filled with adventure. "At World's End" is just the opposite, and I give the director no excuse for this piece of crap! I know that Gore Verbinski is tons better than that, and this was just inexcusable, and defiantly on my "never-see-again list". Another thing that bugged me in the movie was the violence, and I'm not the one to usually complain about such things, but this is a "Disney" film, and there were women begin hung, and (on screen) shot in the head. Disney, Disney, Disney, what have you become? Fortunately we still have "The Curse of the Black Pearl", but because of "At World's End", "Dead Man's Chest" is completely ruined along with it. After all the two movies are connected.
