Pirates of the caribbean: at world's end - Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End Reviews

The overall feeling about this movie: it was good. I think what spoiled it a little was that it was a movie number three, after all, and it's hard to invent something new and at the same time keep all the invented before. In the first movie, it was all brand new and funny. Now there are mostly old characters doing the old stuff : Englishmen are arrogant and drink tea as often as they can, Elisabeth is brave, Will is in love, Sparrow is funny, the one-eyed pirate and his friend do silly things, the monkey is cute, and everybody tend to betray everybody else... There were some new characters, too, which made the movie more a) interesting b) difficult to follow. I found it hard to follow the script, to tell the truth. Maybe it's just me. The script had surprises, and the ending was quite unpredictable. (The only predictable thing was that there will, probably, be a movie number four...) The first part was a bit slow. After half an hour into the movie, Captain Jack Sparrow and his multiple personalities have arrived, bringing some laughs. There were some good new jokes, too, along with the old ones. But overall, the movie seemed darker than the previous ones, with more pathos and drama, and some unpredictable characters developments...The second part of the movie was more dynamic, with battles, beautiful shots and visuals. Though the movie was pretty long, it didn't feel so, because the ending was full of action. People in the cinema applauded in the end of the movie, so, I think most of them liked it more than I did. I just had a feeling that most of it I saw before. But it was a good pirates movie, especially it's second part. And it had Johnny Depp in it. (Going out of the theater, I heard people talking: "Oh, he's such a great actor!!" - so, he seemed to make it again..) It's worth seeing, anyway!
